I am pagan, child poet.
Denizen of this world,
dreamer of the next.
A beneficiary of
sunlight helium heart.
I may fire up now,
all lumen, terrible, bright.
So shield your eyes,
guard your ephemeral life.
Bad jester for the innocent.
Lone mocker of kings.
None dare strike the fool,
simple savant, servant of truth.
Distant notes, a faint music
the ductile edge of dreams.
I was earth magic, now night
shadow, soon bright sonnet bearer.
As payment for my sins,
I entered dark worlds.
Returning a stormy rider,
on wild northern winds.
Clouds of white butterflies,
fly on new dried wings.
Flowers sing, as dancing
whirl-white rose petals
surround my head.
A puppy at my heels.
Prancing wolf-child, faithful guide.
Snapping where the feet should go.
