ABYSS HORIZON

Stretch imagination

over horizon’s frame,

those blood pink

sun stained seas.

Mist and sea ghosts

cantillate, always slow.

Plaintive songs for the

sins of drowned sailors.

And so we pass

quietly through

sea-bird clouds

that soar and cry,

those desperate souls.

Beneath horizon’s

dark hanging down,

the abyss dwells.

Invisible, indivisible

many infinities deep.

I float in the bounds

of ruach and void,

home to monsters

and filled with a reek

of black heart water.

Fear and terror

preserved in

wind and salt,

cloaked sea shadows

gallop the abyss.

In these deeps

hunters have no eyes.

A sense of breath

a kernel of heat,

fear is all they need.

Dark ocean trench

no end too deep

so black no light,

can’t keep the fear

outside of me.

Leviathan, bible beast.

Sea serpents, dragons

hide then they seek,

when the Kraken

have gone their ways.
