SONGS OF SALT TIMES ARTIST GRAHAM PARKER POET DAI FRY
D4 STAR BOLTED SKIES w GRAHAM PARKER

In the long times

wide waves were note gorged

and brine tides flowed,

powerful and slow.

Sea paired jaws wove cold oceans

into a series of forevers, whose

songs instructed

all sea hearts to love.

The behemoth declared and

others relayed the love,

to seven points of seven seas.

Today is love’s day.

Plankton sing of it

as do fish and shells.

Sharks smell of it.

Under salted packets of

hydrogen two oxygen,

whispers sparkle in

the currents and tides.

Fish eat fish with love.

Leopard seal consumes penguins

with love in its wet eyes.

And the love continues.

From tops of every wave,

radiating the distant galaxies.

Contralto notes commence

as giant tumbling weed

rolls over, sea buried lands.

Low, this song has changed.

And now the ocean sings

in a deep water bass,

of a breathless wistful regret.

And all are taken with regret.

As the rains fill with it, even

boulders are washed in it.

And the sun gathers regret

in its helium skeleton.

Giant waves of gravity

carry the whale’s regret,

to distant neutron stars.
